DuPont Performance Materials will showcase its collaboration with Swiss start up Kenzan
DuPont Performance Materials (DPM) will take participants at K2016, the international plastics fair, on a journey through time this October.
Through its partnership with Swiss-based technology company, Kenzan, DuPont Performance Materials has created a 3D-modelled virtual reality experience to allow people to travel through the history of its extensive portfolio and travel into the future to see how DuPont’s advanced material solutions are shaping ideas for tomorrow. The time machine will take visitors on a transformational journey from 1910 until… 2050!
“Working with Kenzan on this revolutionary idea to bring the world of plastics and engineering to life with the virtual reality system was a thrilling journey in itself!” said Rudy van Engen, EMEA Business Director, DuPont Performance Materials.
“We envisioned an experience that allows the visitors to encounter our products in a simple and fun way. We look forward to sharing our time machine experience at K2016,” van Engen added.
The capacity to completely immerse oneself in a virtual world with no limits to the imagination is fast becoming the new way for people to understand, engage and consume content. The time machine is an entertaining and educational illustration of the evolution of DuPont’s product portfolio and a future which could become a reality.
DuPont Performance Materials sees this as an opportunity to demonstrate its array of products, design know-how and expertise within a wide range of industries, such as automotive, pharmaceutical, packaging, electrics and electronics.
Virtual reality systems are unique because the audience interacts with the environment. Kenzan is a leader in the field of 3D development and virtual reality, and is the winner of SIGGRAPH 2015 and Best Film at VR Summit 2016.
The company uses its unique expertise and latest technologies to launch virtual reality systems which create amazing experiences tailored to specific audiences.
